Bigg Boss 15’s Umar Riaz On How Asim Riaz Got Affected By Sidharth Shukla’s Untimely Death: ‘He Was Very Low, He Cried A Lot’
Umar Riaz reveals how Sidharth Shukla’s untimely demise affected his brother Asim Riaz, who was the first person to arrive at his funeral
Ever since Umar Riaz had got evicted from ‘Bigg Boss 15’, he has been making headlines for making some candid confessions. He has been quite vocal about his eviction, which he termed ‘unfair’, and his journey on the reality show. In a new interview, Umar opened up about the untimely demise of Bigg Boss 13 winner Sidharth Shukla and how his death greatly affected his brother Asim Riaz. He revealed that after Asim got to know about Sidharth’s death he felt "very low and cried a lot."
Umar also mentioned that although during their stints on Bigg Boss 13 Asim and Sidharth ended up as rivals, they also shared a great bond together. While speaking to Bollywood Hungama, he said, “It was like a shock when I heard and called up Asim. He was very low, about to cry. He actually cried a lot. Whatever happened on the show, they had a close bond. Somehow they couldn’t connect outside. However, I am sure both wanted to connect back given the bond they had. It was really devastating news for us. And soon as Asim heard about it, he rushed to the hospital to be with his family and show his affection.”
For the unversed, Asim was reportedly the first person to arrive at Sidharth Shukla’s funeral, which was held last year. He was spotted at the Oshiwara crematorium in a heartbreaking state. A photo of him looking heartbroken and sitting on the stairs of the crematorium despite heavy rainfall went viral on social media.
